The flowers on the altar, Sunday, June 10th, were given to the glory of God and for the induction of Linda McKenzie and Clea Gallian into the “Daughters of the King” by Clea Gallian.  During the church service there was a “Service of Admission” for Linda and Clea into the “Order of the Daughters of the King”.  Immediately after church there was a reception in the Parish Hall for the honorees.
 
Congratulations to Jacob Wells on his graduation!  He will be attending Campbell University; and we wish him well during his college years.  Jacob is the recipient for the “Brooks Scholarship” and there will be reception in his honor next Sunday, June 17th. following the morning worship service.  Please plan on joining us in this celebration.
 
There are pictures posted in the Parish Hall of the “Outreach Program”, the field trip/garden planting at the “Falcon Children’s Home” that took place on Saturday, June 2nd.
 
Susan Stephens, Faye Brown, Jenny Powers and the youth of the church showed the 50 children pillow-case dresses and 34 shorts and T-shirt sets that were sewed for the victims of disasters and for Hattie.  You could see all the dedicated work of love that was done for this outreach program!  Thank you everyone who worked on this project and the ”ECW” for the monetary assistance in purchasing the T-shirts for the shorts.  The next step is to getting the items delivered.

 

We wish to welcome Klint, Kelly and baby Owen Kloepping to St. Stephens.
Kitty Heinzman had asked the church members to please remember to save the Campbell Soup labels and leave them in the Parish Hall kitchen.

 

We are continuing to collect offerings for the ‘United Thank Offerings’ and will do so through June 17th.

 

There will be no office hours this week.

 

Wednesday – Evening prayer – 6:30 pm.

 

There will be a ‘Bridal Shower’ for Meredith Pope and Michael Fychok from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm upstairs in the Parish Hall on Sunday 24th. given by Nina Maynard, Sarah Wells, Kitty Heinzman, Diane Lanier, and Janice Medlin.  The ladies of the church are invited.  (Meredith and Michael are registered at Belks, Macy and Target)
