The flowers on the altar, Sunday, July 1st, were given to the glory of God and in memory of their mothers by Madlyn Ferraro and Father David.

During Sunday service, graduate, Jacob Wells, was presented ”The Book of Common Prayer” engraved with his name from St. Stephens.

The church doors will open at 5:30 pm on Monday, July 9th for quiet prayer time and is open to the public.

“The Daughters of the King” will meet in the ‘Fellowship Hall’ at 6:00 pm.

Father David will not be in the office this week.

There will not be a Wednesday, July 4th.  Evening Prayer service.   Happy 4th of July!

A big “Thank You” goes to the ladies that helped Thursday and Friday in making 53 pints of pickles.  With so many helping, it went fast and smoothly.

The “ECW” is having another workday on Tuesday, July 3rd at 8:00 am.  The ladies of St. Stephens are needed to help in the 1-day squash pickle making at the “Parish Office” (209 Denim Drive).  The more helping, the faster the work can be finished!  Your help is needed and will be appreciated.

A wheelchair has been given to the church by Tim and Peggy Henry Abernathy of Monroe, Ohio.  She is the niece of Vertie Baker.  It is being stored in the lower restroom of the ‘Fellowship Hall’ for use whenever needed.  We thank them for this thoughtful and useful gift.

There will be an “Ice Cream Social” for Vertie Baker immediately after the service on Sunday, July 8th. in the ‘Fellowship Hall’.  This will be the ideal time to tell her how much we are going to miss her…
