For all of you who were unable to attend Meredith and Michael Fychok’s  wedding you missed a beautiful event.  The bride was everything that a bride should be. She was beautiful!  She wore a long white lace wedding gown and her bridesmaids were dressed in one-shouldered short navy dresses.   Meredith carried  white hydrangeas and her attendants carried green ones. I found out that Emily had done the makeup for all the attendants, and her mom, and everyone was gorgeous. Can’t remember who did the hair but they all looked great.   Father David did the ceremony, Sarah Wells  the reading, and Wade Hodges sang the wedding song.  Organist and piano accompanist were Dr. Daniel Hester and Kathryn Wise.  The reception was held at Chicora Country Club where the same color scheme of navy blue and green was used. Everyone entering left a thumb print, with their names added,  in different shades of green on the limbs of a hand drawn tree. This will be a wonderful treasure for Michael and Meredith to remember those attending. Also unique was a camera booth  set up for everyone to have their pictures taken. You got 4 poses and they were ready in 60 seconds. What a wonderful treat for all of the guests. The food was plentiful and I’m sure no one left hungry.  There was a carving station with roast beef, ham and turkey. Cheeses, dips, fruits, shrimp, chicken wings and everything in- between was served. The bride and groom had the first dance followed by the bride and her dad. Not sure who had the biggest smile of their face,  Donnie or Meredith!  I noticed that Lisa had slipped into a pair of flats for the reception but the smile never left her face.   What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.  Best wishes to the new couple for a happy and prosperous future.

The flowers on the altar today were given to the glory of God and in celebration of their upcoming 55th wedding anniversary by David and Kitty Heinzman.
