Flowers on the altar Sunday, September 2nd  (14th Sunday after Pentecost),  are given to the glory of God and in memory of their grandparents by Mark and Pam Gibbons and in memory of Shannon Brown.
 

The new Processional Cross dedicated was given to the glory of God and in loving memory of Shannon Brown by his family and friends.  Attending service with Faye Brown was her son, Doug, his wife, Angie, and their son, Micah, from Browns Summit, North Carolina.

 

There will be no office hours this week.
Wednesday, September 5th - Evening Prayer - 6:30 pm.

Sunday, September 9th – 10:00 am – Adult Education – Tony Adams will lead a study on the “Book of Proverbs” in the Parish Fellowship Hall library.  No purchase is necessary.  Just bring your bible and participate in a lively discussion of the practical wisdom for everyday living.
 
Sunday, September 9th – 10:00 am – Children’s Sunday School begins.
 
Because the first Monday of September is the Labor Day holiday, the “Community Prayer has been postponed to Monday, September 10th at 5:30 pm.  All are welcome to participate in quiet prayer.

 

Monday, September 10th -6:15 pm – The Daughters of the King” will meet.  Please join them in the Fellowship Hall where they will be hosting Tonya Gray, director of SAFE of Harnett County.  Everyone is invited to hear how we can help our community in the fight against sexual abuse and family violence and assist the survivors and their families.

Susan Stephens is pleased to announce that her son, Nick was married to Kelly Yarbrough on August 1st.  Nick grew up attending St. Stephen’s.
