Sunday, December 8th:

The flowers on the Altar were given to the Glory of God and in honor of her parents and brother, Leo & Lillian Ammons and Henry Ammons by Clea Gallian.

Monday, December 9th – 4:30 pm – Church doors will be open for ‘quiet prayer’.
                                          5:00 pm – “Daughters of the King” meeting.

Wednesday, December 11th – 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm – Father David will be in the office.
                                                  6:30 pm – Evening prayer service.
Thursday, December 12th – 10:00 am – 12:00 noon – Father David will be in the office.

There were still smiles on the faces of those who attend the ‘Christmas Party’ on Friday.  Everyone had an enjoyable evening; and was grateful to Heather Honeycutt for being the chairperson….  It was a successful way to start the Christmas holidays! 

St. Stephen’s was well represented in the Erwin Christmas Parade, Monday, December 2nd.  Everyone enjoyed themselves.  Thank you to all who helped make this possible.  A big ‘Thank You’ to Pam and Mark Gibbons.  

The participation in the Dunn Christmas Parade was cancelled due to the cold weather. 

***December 15th:  Bishop Anne will be here for Confirmation Service, followed by a covered dish luncheon.  Everyone bring your special food dish!  Lets show Bishop Anne what good cooks St. Stephen’s has! 

Stewardship Campaign:  Your pledges is what it takes to keep the doors open and the church running smoothly.  It is not too late to pledge…..  Envelopes are in the narthex. 

If you would like to contribute to the purchase of poinsettias in honor or memory of someone for the Christmas season, the envelopes are in the back of the pews. 

Upcoming Event:  Wednesday, December 18th – 6:30 pm – There will be an ‘Advent Service of Lessons and Carols’. 

Christmas Card Exchange:  There will be a basket set up in the kitchen of the Parish Hall for Christmas Cards.  Please arrange in alphabetical order with rubber bands around them and place in the basket NO LATER THAT SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15TH.  The ‘Daughters of the King” will sort them to be available by December 22nd.
Please don’t forget “SAFE of Harnett County” and “Grace Chapel Church Food Bank” during this Christmas holidays……We are so blessed, let us share our bounties with those in need.
