Sunday, April 6th:
Today was the Children’s Lenten Program and Children’ s Eucharist. There was a smile on everyone’s face and in everyone’s heart when we watched and listened to Sarah Wells read “My Easter Basket, A True Story of Easter” and then heard the responses from the youth about the colors in the Easter Basket and how they were related to the colors of Easter. Then the youth did a Child’s Version of the “Stations of the Cross”, and they proudly showed the congregation the Rosaries that they had made. I am sure every parent and child realizes how very fortunate they are to have Sarah Wells, Oralee Adams, Kelly Strickland, Heather Honeycutt, Jennifer Trainer, and Pam Tuohey as their Sunday School Teachers! I don’t have a child in church, but I am grateful! Thank you ladies; and thank you children of St. Stephen’s.
